It all started when...
Cole moved from his hometown of Atlanta, GA to Park City, UT. His romance with storytelling began at the age of 16 when he was brought on to L.A's leading motion picture advertising company, InSync Plus.
He immersed himself into the world of motion picture advertising and began editing trailers and TV spots for Universal Pictures, Fox Searchlight, and Sony Pictures Classics. After exploring numerous Hollywood lots, he felt inspired and decided to expand his portfolio into producing, writing, and directing. Now, at 26, his work has taken him all over the world, telling stories from the foothills of the Himalayas to the rice fields of the Philippines, creating branded content for companies including Snapchat, NBC, The International Olympic Channel, Bridgestone, and more.
In 2018, Cole spent eight months producing the award-winning show Far From Home. A documentary series following six unlikely stories of Olympic hope. The show was recognized for its caliber and won two Silver Telly's and a Gold Telly Award. His focus on impactful storytelling has helped the development of India's first winter Olympic training facility, has generated hundreds of millions of views online and has earned me numerous awards including a Clio Key Art for editing, Music Bed's 2017 Film Initiative recipient, & selected for the 2019 MAST fellowship.
Beyond the stage of accolades and client work, Cole’s ambitions lie with creating memorable stories that leave the audience with a deep connection to the human experience. He has spread his mission from screens to streets by working alongside the American Film Showcase, a state department initiative, as a film expert, to bring storytelling to countries around the world. My passion for empowering stories has granted me the opportunity to speak on the TED stage this year about the unlikely hero's that exist all around us.
Currently, based between Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, Cole is currently working on a feature-length documentary in partnership Himalayan Cataract Project and Vision Spring, about unnecessary blindness in the developing world.
It is his life’s mission to urge brands, networks, and organizations to not only support quality storytelling, but stories that can help reshape our world in a positive way. Cole wants to use film and story as a tool to promote the advancement of human potential and human connection. With this mission at the core of who he is, he will be provide something that films sometimes lack, impact.
This is what Cole lives, breathes, and believes in. If you feel this same passion, then I hope your paths will cross, and together you can create something that makes us smile, or cry, gives us goosebumps, or makes us mad, makes us think, changes a life, community, or even the world… let’s use film as a catalyst for change.
Outside of film, Cole loves to spend his time trekking around the world, or on a basketball court with his friends. You can find him late at night dancing around some random city or at a karaoke bar. If you do not see him there, he is probably at home reading a book, or meditating.
If you choose to work with Cole, you could go out and Karaoke with him.
